Representative Maureen Walsh makes a powerful point. The main issue that opponents of same sex marriage have is they think of gay relationships as solely sexual relationships. It’s so difficult for me to understand that some people believe gay relationships are not based on love, so I usually forget that this is the biggest part of the problem. It obviously isn’t about sex because then we wouldn’t be concerned about having the right to make a lifelong commitment to another human being.
